Why don’t we provide an on-line event insurance quote and buy service? We used to, but in our experience we found that most users insured themselves incorrectly, rather than have you do all the work and make a mistake we prefer to speak to you, find out about your event and provide a quote in person that meets your requirements. Better safe than sorry. We can quote most types of events over the phone in a matter of minutes.

Obstacle Course Event Insurance

Arranging your obstacle event insurance shouldn’t be an obstacle in itself!

As an obstacle course, assault course or endurance race event organiser you will be well aware that arranging insurance for your obstacle event is not a walk in the park.

Whether your obstacle event includes mud runs, water trenches, quagmire, cargo nets or hero walls our aim is to understand your requirements and liaise with underwriters to arrange an event insurance policy that meets with your needs.

Insuring Your Obstacle Event

We aim to make the process as simple as possible. This ensures that you have adequate cover should an unfortunate incident occur.

Starting with event public liability insurance. This section of the policy that provides protection for claims resulting from third party bodily injury and/or third party property damage.

Employers liability insurance will provide protection following injury to employees, or volunteers and assistants at the event.

Event cancellation insurance can provide cover should you need to cancel or postpone your event due to unforeseen circumstances.

Obstacle Course Insurance Claims

Undoubtedly all participants will sign a ‘waiver’ prior to participation. However this will not prevent a claim being upheld against you and your co-organisers should you be found negligent in your duty of care.

You have a duty of care to participants to ensure that the course and equipment is fit for purpose. When things go wrong you can find yourself with a claim for compensation following injury to a participant.

For example, we have previously arranged insurance where multiple claims were presented against the obstacle course event organiser following injuries to participants who jumped down from a climbing structure into a water trench that wasn’t deep enough to cushion the fall.

The depth of the water was misleading. This led to participants considering the water trench to be much deeper that it actually was.

The insurers would subsequently pick up these claims, thus providing policy protection for the organiser.
